Boy Scout Troop Schedules West Bellevue Christmas Tree Recycling Fundraiser
If you're in West Bellevue, Medina or Clyde Hill, mark your calendars for the annual Boy Scout Troop 600 Christmas Tree Recycling Drive and Fundraiser.

It may feel like you've just put up your tree, but it's not too early to plan how you'll recycle it at the end of the Christmas season.
If you're in West Bellevue, Medina, Yarrow Point, Hunts Point or Clyde Hill, mark your calendars for the annual Boy Scout Troop 600 Christmas Tree Recycling Drive and Fundraiser. West Bellevue includes the area west of Interstate 405, north of Interstate 90 and south of State Route 520.
The Boy Scouts will collect the trees before 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013. The minimum donation is $15 per tree. The map of their pickup area is on their website.

Scouts will be canvassing homes in our pick up area on Saturday, Dec. 8, according to the website, and will be collecting donations and distributing 'pick-up' tags at the downtown QFC on Northeast Eighth Street from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 29 and 4 to 6 p.m. Jan. 3. Scouts also will collect donations at the Bellevue First Presbyterian Church Lobby after each Sunday morning Service on Dec. 16 and Dec. 30
If you don't live in the area, you still can drop your tree off at the collection point between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at Clyde Hill Elementary School, 9641 NE 24th Street, Clyde Hill. Please do not leave trees if volunteers are not there to collect them.

Trees should be free of flocking, tinsel, nails, plastic, or any metal attached. Artificial trees cannot be recycled through this program. Checks should be payable to "Boy Scout Troop 600."
