Cloud 9 Burgers Coming to Newport Hills
The burger restaurant is set to open in the former Herfy's Burgers location in south Bellevue.
Newport Hills residents will have a new place to grab a burger and shake soon, as the long-shuttered Herfy's Burgers restaurant reopens as Cloud 9 Burgers.
New owner Yong Hong is aiming for a Sept. 1 opening.
She chatted with Patch recently while working to restore the inside of the restaurant on 119th Avenue Southeast at Southeast 56th Street, one of several businesses that have closed their doors in recent years in the Newport Hills shopping center in south Bellevue.
Cloud 9 will offer burgers and shakes, as well as seafood, said Hong, 56, who has 30 years of experience in the burger business.Â

"We're going to add a lot of healthy kind of food, too," including vegetarian burgers and grilled seafood, she said.
The Newport Hills Herfy's has been vacant for more than a year. Also closed in the small collection of restaurants and shops in the mostly residential neighborhood is a Bank of America branch, Dom & Nick's Pizza and the former Red Apple grocery store.Â
