Christmas Shopping Miracle: Husky At Bellevue Mall Returns Home

BELLEVUE, WA - There's good news to report in the case of a husky who was found wandering around at the Crossroads Shopping Center last week. Zoey, a very sweet girl, has been returned to her owner.

Bellevue police are using Zoey's story to remind local dog owners to license their pets. Police were only able to track down Zoey's owner because the husky was licensed.

Zoey was found last Friday in the parking lot at Crossroads. Police thought she might've been trying to do some shopping for her owner. The officer who found her tried to contact the owner, but couldn't get through. So Zoey was dropped at the Alpine Animal Hospital in Issaquah.

"Dispatch notified regional animal control services of King County, who tracked down the owner through the dog’s license. They reached the owner who was subsequently reunited with his dog," Bellevue police reported in a blog post.
