Governor Jay Inslee has directed that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff as per President Obama’s proclamation as a mark of respect for the victims of Monday’s tragic events at the Washington Navy Yard.
Flags should be lowered immediately and remain at half-staff until sunset/close of business Friday, September 20.
Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
