Meet Mariners Legend Edgar Martinez At Seattle Area Book-Signings

Martinez will make two stops in Puget Sound to talk about his new book, "Edgar: An Autobiography."

SEATTLE, WA — Fans of Seattle Mariners legend Edgar Martinez will get chances to meet the hall-of-famer at two upcoming book-signing events. Martinez will be in Puget Sound in June promoting his new book, "Edgar: An Autobiography."

Martinez will appear at Elliot Bay Book Co. in Seattle on Wednesday, and then at the Bellevue Barnes & Noble on June 12. Martinez played third base and was designated hitter for the Mariners between 1987 and 2004. He was inducted in the baseball hall of fame this year.

Martinez wrote his autobiography with Seattle Times sports columnist Larry Stone. More about the book from the publisher:

Edgar: An Autobiography explores Martinez’s childhood in Puerto Rico, where at only 11 years old he elected to remain at home while his parents relocated to New York. Martinez stayed with his grandparents, working through school and demonstrating the persistence and work ethic that would propel him to the Hall of Fame.
