Mouse Falls From Ceiling At Bellevue Restaurant: Report

A diner captured the moment at an upscale Lincoln Square restaurant on video.

BELLEVUE, WA - A diner at Bellevue's Japonessa restaurant recorded video of a mouse after it fell from the ceiling during dinner recently, according to KING 5.

The incident happened Tuesday night. The diner, identified by KING 5 as Linh Le, took video on her cell phone of restaurant employees pushing the rodent out of the restaurant. The restaurant said that construction nearby might have pushed mice into the building.

"A spokesperson for the restaurant confirmed the incident and said nearby construction is probably to blame for chasing rodents into the building. The spokesperson said the restaurant is working with Bellevue Square and pest control experts to ensure there are no further incidents like this and pointed out the Bellevue Japonessa has a "Good" rating from the health department," KING 5 reported.

Japonessa has in the past been cited by King County for violations - over 200 since 2010, according to health department records.
