Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Dr. Desiree Otto M.D. is an OB/Gyn and has been working long hours at Overlake hospital caring for patients during this very stressful time and has been isolating away from her family to keep them safe, should she contract COVID-19. She is dedicated to providing the best medical care possible to her patients during this pandemic, at the expense of her own safety and the companionship of her loved ones. Her family misses her very much and she is so stressed and scared but she has to be brave and go in to take care of her patients.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
Dr. Otto is a devoted mother living away from her children(and husband) for over 7 weeks, to keep them safe, while putting her own life st risk caring for patients in our community.
Thank you for all you do, Desiree!
