Spirit of Bellevue 12K/5K Run on Sunday: What's Up

Today in Bellevue, runners and walkers and a health fair will be downtown for the Spirit of Bellevue 12K Run, 5K Run/Walk, which raises money for scholarships.

The 2nd Annual Spirit of Bellevue 12K Run, 5K Run/Walk and Kid’s Fun Run and Health & Wellness Fair is Sunday, Aug. 4 at Bellevue Downtown Park. 

The event is organized by the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds from the event go towards scholarships to help local students attend college.

Schedule:
7:00 am - Registration Opens

8:00 am - 12K Run Begins

Last year, the Spirit of Bellevue Run raised money for seven $1,500 scholarships awarded to outstanding Bellevue School District graduating seniors.

Traffic impact:
Between 7:30 and 10 a.m, the course will be closed to vehicular traffic, as shown in a map provided by the city of Bellevue. Affected roads include segments of Lake Washington Boulevard, Northeast Eighth Street, 100th Avenue Northeast, Northeast 24th Street, 112th Avenue Northeast, Northeast 12th Street, 124th Avenue Northeast, Main Street and Northeast Second Street, according to the city.
