BELLEVUE, WA — Repairs are complete on a large water main break in the Wilburton area, and the resulting road closure was lifted earlier than expected, according to city officials.

Maintenance crews worked through the night near Southeast 9th Street and 121st Avenue Southeast to fix a damaged section of pipe. Repairs were completed shortly before 2 p.m.

Earlier in the day, the city said 121st Avenue Southeast could remain closed in both directions for several days, due to damage and "unsafe conditions for vehicles." Fortunately, the issue was resolved earlier than expected and the road has fully reopened. According to the city, crews will return later to finish repairs on the road, but it remains safe for vehicles.
