Water Main Break Closes Stretch Of Lake Hills Boulevard
Residents in the area are asked to avoid using water until repairs are complete and the system is flushed.

BELLEVUE, WA — Several blocks of Lake Hills Boulevard were expected to remain closed throughout much of Monday afternoon, following a large water main break in the area, according to city officials.

Utility crews responded to the area shortly after 11 a.m., and the city posted photos of water over the roadway. By noon, crews had isolated the leak, but repairs were expected to require several hours of work. A detour will remain in place until crews clear the scene.

City officials said residents may notice discolored water — the result of "stirred up pipe sediment." Those living in the area are asked to avoid using water until repairs are complete. After that, residents are encouraged to run cold water for 5-10 minutes to flush out any remaining sediment.
