Weed News: Pests Sprouting Around Puget Sound Depsite Cold, Snow

It might be cold and rainy out, but noxious weeds are sprouting everywhere. Now's the perfect time to destroy them.

BELLEVUE, WA - You might wonder how this is possible: that really nice lavender plant you had last summer is wilted and brown; but right next to it is a healthy looking handful of garlic mustard.

It's best not to question how it happens, but somehow, Puget Sound's noxious weeds - like the cockroaches they are - survived one of the coldest and snowiest winters we've had in years. From Carnation to Kent, weeds like dandelion and poison hemlock are sprouting up everywhere.

With planting season weeks away, and the ground soaking wet, now is the perfect time to uproot these pests.
