The Juanita High School PTSA received the Standards of Excellence Award, Silver Level, from the Washington State PTA during its 99th Convention, May 4-6, at the Doubletree Hotel in Seatac.
Juanita High School PTSA was evaluated on the best practices of PTA management, including child-focused activities, responsiveness to membership, fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities, and ongoing leader involvement and training at the regional and state levels.
Most recently, JHS-PTSA provided snacks for the volunteers at Rebel Pride Campus Clean-Up Day on May 12, hosted a Tea/Coffee Evening on May 9 for incoming parents with Juanita High School Principal Gary Moed and Associate Principal Gloria Heier, and served lunch and treats to the staff during Staff Appreciation Week May 7-11.
