Kirkland's 4th Of July Fireworks 2021 Canceled
Kirkland's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate Independence Day.
KIRKLAND, WA — Although coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, many Independence Day celebrations have once again been canceled, modified or will be held virtually due to the pandemic.
Kirkland's fireworks, Fourth of July parade and community picnic may have been canceled but officials asked residents to join them to safely celebrate at events like the KDA's Kirkland Wednesday Market, and the City's Juanita Friday Market. There is also a nearby fireworks show in Bellevue.
Kirkland city officials also put together a virtual celebration, which can be viewed online. KING 5 will air a special with highlights from Seattle's celebrations past, starting at 10 p.m.
