City Adds 50 Parking Spaces at Juanita Beach
A four-hour time limit is also now in effect at all parking areas associated with the park.

An increase in visitors at Juanita Beach has prompted city officials to add 50 parking spaces on the north side of the park.
A news release from the City of Kirkland indicates the new spaces are located west of the gravel lot on the corner of 97th Avenue Northeast and Juanita Drive.
Along with the additional spaces, the city has also begun imposing a four-hour limit at all parking areas to help ensure spaces become available more frequently. Kirkland Police will be making daily checks to enforce the new time limits, the release states.
Officials say Juanita Beach has grown in popularity since a series of renovations were completed there in 2011Â and that the new parking spaces are needed to accommodate the additional visitors.
