Cross Kirkland Corridor Closure Postponed Again

A construction project set to begin Monday will be pushed back until later in August, according to city officials.

KIRKLAND, WA — A two-week closure of a section of the Cross Kirkland Corridor has been postponed again, with city officials now saying the trail will shut down on Aug. 19.

The closure was initially set to begin on Aug. 5, but that was pushed off until Aug. 12. The new closure date was announced late last week, although construction crews have begun work on the project to sure-up a culvert under the trail.

The trail will be closed for two weeks beginning from Northeast 100th Street north to 111th Avenue Northeast. The trail will be closed 24-7 as crews install a culvert and manhole north of Crestwoods Park.
