Join KIRKLAND CHORAL SOCIETY as they welcome the holidays with a jubilant concert of compassion and hope, celebrating the glory of the season and mankind’s universal dream of peace. Highlights include Keaton Lee Scott’s grand “Gloria” for choir, brass and timpani; classics from Bach, Handel, and Mendelssohn; a contemporary work based on ancient Jewish texts; “Iraqi Peace Song,” a lullaby in Arabic for women’s voices; and an American work composed after 9/11. With favorite carols, audience sing-a-longs, and a toe-tapping, bluegrass-flavored finale, this festive concert is guaranteed to get everyone’s holiday season off to a delightful start!
