Food Donations Needed In Kirkland On May 1, May 8
The next two Saturdays offer a chance to easily drop off donations at the Ismaili Jamatkhana and Community Center.
KIRKLAND, WA — Two upcoming food drives are seeking donations of nonperishable food items and household essentials to help those in need on the Eastside. Both drives will be hosted by the Ismaili community volunteer team and will take place the next two Saturday afternoons.
When and where:
- When: Saturday, May 1 & Saturday, May 8
- 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Where: Ismaili Jamatkhana (Totem Lake)
- 12505 115th Avenue Northeast, Building D
Both events will be drive-thru and contactless, following the proper COVID-19 precautions. Donors just need to drive up, pop their trunks and volunteers will unload their vehicle. Visitors are asked to wear facial coverings.

Here are some of the items needed:
- Soup
- Cereal
- Oatmeal
- Pasta sauce
- Rice
- Peanut Butter
- Granola bars
- Shelf-stable milk
- Canned goods like tuna or chili
- Other nonperishable foods
- Household essentials, including diapers, cleansing wipes, baby food, paper towels and toilet paper.
