In a news release posted just after midnight, police said they learned of more witnesses and evidence that could help provide them with a detailed description of the potential shooters. That description has not yet been released. Police said that the suspects likely knew the victim.

The park remained closed Thursday morning while detectives continued to process the scene, and the King County Marine Unit was called in to help search the water for potential evidence. Most of the park reopened at 2 p.m. A section near the dock area remains closed and inaccessible.
