Kirkland Shake Shack Opening Saturday

KIRKLAND, WA — The wait is over, now all you have to do is wait in line.

The second Shake Shack location in Puget Sound will open on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Kirkland Urban development, according to Eater Seattle. This is the second Shake Shack in Puget Sound after the first one opened in South Lake Union last year — and there have been lines out the door ever since.

The Kirkland Shake Shack will feature all the chain's most popular items like hamburgers, hot dogs, and frozen custard. The Kirkland location will also feature a few custom items, according to the chain.

"In addition to the classics, the Kirkland Shack is spinning up local exclusives including the Pie Oh My concrete-vanilla custard blended with pieces of A la Mode Pies seasonal pie. The sweetest part? We donate 5 percent of the sales of our Pie Oh My concrete to YouthCare, a nonprofit dedicated to ending youth homelessness ensuring that that young people are valued for who they are and are empowered to achieve their potential," Shake Shack says on the Kirkland restaurant's webpage.

This is just the beginning of the food rush in Kirkland. The Kirkland Urban development will feature other worthy local eateries like Dough Zone, Caffe Ladro, and Evergreens Salad.

Plus, a third Shake Shack will open in the University Village mall in Seattle in 2020.
