In other cases, several more residential burglaries were investigated and Seattle cops busted two in a stolen vehicle with plates stolen from a Kirkland man's car.

The following are selected reports from the Kirkland Police Department from the period of March 2-7. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

March 2

  • Seattle Police arrested two people in a stolen car in Seattle with license plates from a different vehicle, registered to a 61-year-old man who lives on Finn Hill’s 141st Street. The valid plates were returned to the proper owner and wrong ones kept as evidence.
  • A few new details emerged in a in north Juanita at about 3:30 p.m. The case is being handled by the FBI, but the KPD report indicates the female suspect was white, robbed the bank using a note, did not show a weapon and escaped with an unspecified amount of cash.
  • The Kirkland Police K-9 unit attempted to track a suspect after a 41-year-old resident of 106th Avenue in south Juanita apparently interrupted a burglary at his home. The thief tried to force open a side door, but then entered through an unlocked back door at about 1 p.m. and managed to steal jewelry and rifle through drawers before fleeing. The K-9 unit picked up a track that appeared to go to nearby residences, but the thief got away. No solid evidence was found.
