KPD Blotter: Man Beat Up on His Way Home from Tony's Bar

The following are selected reports from the Kirkland Police Department for the period of Feb 7-11. The reports do not indicate a conviction.

Feb. 7

• A Kirkland woman reported that the catalytic converter was stolen off her 2002 Toyota pickup, on the 11800 block of NE 128th Street.

Feb. 8

• A 31-year-old Kirkland man was assaulted by two unknown men as he was walking home from Tony's Bar at about 10:30 p.m. Police came to the scene with a K9 unit, but were unable to locate the aggressors.
• Someone let the air out of a van's tires at a Kirkland apartment complex, and police indicated it was likely because the driver had parked in someone's assigned parking space rather than guest parking.
• Sometime overnight, the roof of a Honda S2000 convertible was slashed, the seats and all four tires stolen, on the 11700 block of NE 131st Place.
• A Kirkland woman reported to police that her car had been keyed, and said she suspected her estranged husband did it after being served divorce papers.

Feb. 9

• A 25-year-old Kirkland woman was arrested for 4th degree assault after an altercation with her husband, in which she punched him in the face and tore his shirt.
• Police arrested a 32-year-old Kirkland woman for driving with her license suspended; it was her eighth time being stopped for the same offense.

Feb. 10

• A 1996 Honda Accord was stolen from the 6500 block of 130th Avenue NE.

Feb. 11

• Police arrested a Kirkland man for stealing an employee's purse from behind the bar at Denny's, and a female companion for making false statements to an officer; another man with the group was arrested on outstanding warrants. The purse was returned to its owner.
• A Kirkland woman reported to police that someone had used her identity to file a fraudulent tax return.
