Heads up, Kirkland parents: The Lake Washington School District recently released its list of important dates for the 2013-14 school year:
Sept. 3: First Day of School
Sept. 4: Early release schedule begins
Oct. 14-17: Half day elementary conferences
Oct. 17: No school (LEAP Day)
Nov. 11: Veteran's Day (Observed)
Nov. 27: Half day
Nov. 28-29: Thanksgiving Break
Dec. 23-Jan. 3:Â Winter Break
Jan. 20:Â Martin Luther King Day
Jan. 28-31: Half day elementary conferences
Feb. 13-14:Â Mid-Winter Break
Feb. 17:Â President's Day
March 14: No school (LEAP Day)
April 7-11:Â Spring Break
May 23: No school (LEAP Day)
May 26:Â Memorial Day
June 17:Â Last day of school (half day)
