Meaningful Movies in Kirkland

This Changes Everything is a different type of climate change documentary. Based on Naomi Klein’s 2014 book with the same title, the film is not mainly about carbon but about capitalism and the political, economic, social and cultural norms that have dominated our lives in the past several decades.

This Changes Everything premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last September and is now being shown around the world. The film is being promoted ahead of the U.N.’s COP21 climate meeting in Paris next month. Portraits of seven communities are shown, all on the front lines of both fossil fuel extraction and the climate crisis it is driving.
