Parking Enforcement Returns To Kirkland On July 17
Paid parking was suspended in Kirkland during Gov. Jay Inslee's "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order.
KIRKLAND, WA — Paid parking, time limits and parking enforcement will resume in downtown Kirkland in one week, the city announced Friday.
Enforcement was suspended during Gov. Jay Inslee's "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order, which expired on May 31.
Since King County entered Phase 2 of the Safe Start reopening plan, city officials say Kirkland is seeing more visitors have returned to downtown for work, shopping and recreation.

"This means on-street parking, surface parking lots and the downtown parking garage are once again filling up with people's cars," the city wrote in a news release. "In order to make sure that parking is available for patrons of downtown businesses, the City will be restarting enforcement of time limits throughout downtown, as well as restarting paid parking in the Lakeshore Parking Lot at Marina Park and the Lake and Central Parking Lot."
The Downtown Employee Parking Program, which provides designated areas for employees in the central business district, will resume at the same time.
