Peter Kirk Community Center Offers Lunch For Seniors

Residents over 60 can pick up or arrange delivery for meals every Tuesday and Friday.

KIRKLAND, WA — A new program at the Peter Kirk Community Center is offering to-go lunches for seniors twice a week, to help keep Kirkland's most vulnerable residents safe and fed during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Adults over 60 can pick up lunches at the center, or arrange for delivery, every Tuesday and Friday. According to the city, community center staffers are also working to include games, like puzzles and word searches, with each lunch to help ease some of the effects of prolonged social isolation.

Anyone interesting in reserving meals, or learning more about how the to-go lunch program works, can give the center a call at 425-587-3360.
