Peter Kirk Pool Now Open For Summer
Enjoy the community facility now through Labor Day.

From the City of Kirkland: The Peter Kirk Pool, located at 340 Kirkland Ave in downtown Kirkland, opened this week for the summer. Lifeguards will be on duty at the City of Kirkland’s only outdoor public pool throughout the summer guarding lap swims, public swims, wading pool swims, swimming lessons, swim team, Friday Night Fun Nights and deep water aerobics. Season passes can be purchased during any public swim or online at www.kirklandparks.net. A complete pool schedule can be found on the City website.
The Parks and Community Services Department worked with a contractor this spring to re-plaster the main pool tank. In addition, some safety matters were addressed including the installation of proper depth marking tiles and high contrast stair edge tiles, providing the pool with a new lease on its life.
Swim lessons are available through the City’s recreation programs. Group lessons and private lessons are offered for infants, youth, teens and adults. Trained instructors will teach students the important life safety skill of swimming. To register for lessons visit www.kirklandparks.net.
