Prepare For SR 520 Closure This Weekend
The closure will begin Friday night so crews can replace 1,750 lights along SR 520.

KIRKLAND, WA - SR 520 will be partially closed this weekend so crews can replace 1,750 lights across the floating bridge. The closure will affect only the westbound lanes and will begin Friday night.
The closure stretches from Montlake Boulevard to 92nd Avenue Northeast in the Clyde Hill area. The lights being replaced are in the lids on the east side of the bridge.
Anyone trying to head west this weekend should use I-90, according to WSDOT. Here are more details, according to WSDOT:

- From 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, all westbound lanes and ramps of SR 520 will close between 92nd Avenue Northeast and Montlake Boulevard.
- Westbound travelers should plan to take I-90 or go around Lake Washington.
- All eastbound lanes and ramps, and the SR 520 Trail will remain open throughout the weekend.
