Report of Armed Burglar on Rose Hill Turns Out to Be False
Investigation with K9 unit finds report of burglary in progress unsubstantiated.

The Kirkland Police activity that included a K9 unit you might have seen near 124th Avenue NE on north Rose Hill Tuesday morning turned out to be a false alarm.
“We had a report of a possible burglary in progress, but it was nothing,” said Kirkland Police spokesman Sgt. Rob Saloum.
A caller at about 8 a.m. reported seeing a man inside a home with a weapon, but officers found no sign of forced entry and nothing missing. No suspect was located, and the report was determined to be unsubstantiated.
Passersby on 124th Avenue, a major thoroughfare on Rose Hill, reported seeing at least six squad cars. A K9 team failed to find any track. The investigation and activity took place at and around a home in the 12300 block of NE 97th Street.
A brief press release by the Kirkland Police said no further investigation was warranted.
