Rollover Crash: Kirkland Firefighters Cut Off Vehicle Roof to Rescue Driver
A woman drove off of NE 124th Street in the Totem Lake area Monday evening and rolled her vehicle on its side after striking another vehicle. There were no apparent injuries.

Kirkland firefighters cut the roof off of an SUV Monday evening to rescue a motorist who drove off NE 124th Street into a parking lot in the Totem Lake area and rolled the vehicle on its side.
The driver, a middle-aged woman, did not appear to suffer serious injuries, according to the Kirkland Fire Department, but might have had some sort of medical emergency before the crash.

Her vehicle came to a stop in a Rite Aid store parking lot after leaving the road and hitting another vehicle in the lot shortly after 7 p.m.
“She appeared fine, with no apparent injuries,” said Kirkland Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Jeffery. “She came into the parking lot and it rolled up on its side. It did hit another vehicle. She was stuck inside, so we took the roof off.”

The woman was taken to the nearby EvergreenHealth Medical Center as a precaution. The driver of the vehicle hit was also not injured.
The photo of the scene was posted on the Kirkland Firefighters Facebook page with a short explanation:
"This evening Kirkland Firefighters responded to a Rollover accident in the Rite Aid parking lot. A car crossed oncoming traffic on Ne 124 St and jumped the curb landing in the parking lot and then striking another motorist. The driver appears to have had a medical emergency prior to the accident. Miraculously there were no serious injuries."
