Run: Marymoor 5K Set to Benefit Renton WSP Trooper With Cancer

The "More Birthdays for Renee 5k Fun Run" is happening Sunday, April 21 at Marymoor Park in Redmond to help fund ongoing treatment for Trooper Renee Padgett.

A 5k fun run and walk will be held at Marymoor Park this Sunday to help fund cancer treatments for Washington State Patrol (WSP) trooper Renee Padgett.

Padgett, a Renton resident and mother of two, is a 21-year veteran with WSP. Last May, she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a rare form of blood cancer. Her treatment regime includes multiple rounds of radiation, chemotherapy and two stem-cell transplants.
