Search For Missing Father On Lake Washington Continues

According to the King County Sheriff's Office, the search has turned into a recovery mission.

KIRKLAND, WA — It's day two in the search for a man who disappeared over the weekend on Lake Washington.

According to the King County Sheriff's Office, the 32-year-old father of three went missing in the waters off Kirkland's O.O. Denny Park after falling off an inner tube being pulled by a boat.

KING 5 reported that three adults were on the innertube when they fell off Sunday. Two were rescued; however, the young father remains unaccounted for.

Deputies told Q13 FOX that the man’s family was out on the lake for Father’s Day when the accident happened.

According to the sheriff's office, there have been several drownings in the last several days. It's not clear if the father was wearing a life jacket, however, the sheriff's office encourages them.

"We ask everyone to wear their life jacket with hot days ahead," warned the sheriff's office via Twitter.

Multiple agencies are assisting the KCSO marine rescue unit with the search, including King County Search and Rescue and Kirkland Fire Department.
