Redhook Semi Rolls, Spills Beer in Woodinville

A semi-truck tipped and rolled in Woodinville Tuesday, spilling kegs and cases of Redhook brew in the street.

 

The adage is “there’s no point crying over spilled milk,” but what about gushes of spilled ? A semi-truck carrying more than 43,000 pounds of Redhook ale bound for California overturned on Woodinville Drive Tuesday afternoon, near the shop in Woodinville.

Thats just outside the Kirkland city limits, north of Kingsgate.

No one was hurt in the accident and the diesel spill from the engine was quickly cleaned up, according to David Weed, community officer for .

Kirkland firefighters also responded to the call and Fire Corps volunteer Randy Maes posted photos of the accident on the Kirkland Firefighters Facebook page.

There were 150 kegs and 600 cases of Redhook that had to be unloaded before the trailer could be righted, Weed said. No word on how much of the beer was lost onto the street in the accident.
