Sound Transit Buses Serving Kirkland, Redmond May Change

KIRKLAND, WA - From the City of Bellevue: As part of Sound Transit's continued coordination with King County Metro and their proposed North Eastside Mobility Plan (NEMP) changes and to more effectively utilize operating resources, Sound Transit will be considering the following changes to ST Express SR-520 service:

• Consolidate ST Express Routes 540 and 541 into new Route 544, serving Overlake, South Kirkland, SR 520 and South Lake Union.
• On morning eastbound trips, Route 544 would serve Capitol Hill at Bellevue Ave & Olive Way. Route 545 would no longer stop on Capitol Hill.

Note: These proposed service changes to ST Express service are contingent upon King County Metro changing Route 255 to serve University of Washington Station
