What’s Open, Closed For Christmas 2018 In Kirkland

KIRKLAND, WA - As usual, most stores across the Puget Sound region will be closed on Christmas Day - and many will close early on Christmas Eve. So try to get everything you need before Dec. 25.
Here's a look at what's open and what's closed on Christmas Day in local cities.
Government
All state, local, and federal offices are closed, including the U.S. Postal Service. Local libraries are also closed. Police and fire services will operate 24/7 as usual.

Banks
All local bank branches - BECU, U.S. Bank, Chase, etc. - will be closed on Christmas Day. ATMs will, of course, still be working. Some bank branches will be open on Christmas Eve including Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Chase.
Shopping
Most grocery stores and pretty much all retail stores will be closed Christmas. Stores like Fred Meyer, Target, and Walmart are closed. Local Safeway and QFC stores are closed Christmas Day, and will close early on Christmas Eve.

Some stores that are typically open on Christmas include: Albertson's, 7-Eleven, Family Dollar, CVS, Starbucks, and a few BevMo locations - but it's best to check before you go. Malls like Westfield Southcenter and Alderwood are closed except movie theaters.

- Trader Joe's (closes at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve)
- Central Co-op (closes at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve)
- Metropolitan Market (some locations close at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve)
- Central Market (Ballard, Shoreline, Mill Creek close early Christmas Eve)
- Costco
- Whole Foods (most Puget Sound stores close early Christmas Eve)
- Total Wine (closes at 8 p.m. Christmas Eve)
- WinCo (closes at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve)
Movie Theaters
Many local movie theaters are open. Those include: Regal Thornton Place (Northgate), Cinemark Lincoln Square (Bellevue), AMC Pacific Place (Seattle), Regal Meridian 16, SIFF Uptown, Cinerama, Regal Bella Botega (Redmond), Regal the Landing (Renton), Regal South Hill, Edmonds Theater, AMC Alderwood Mall and more. Transit
- King County Metro: Sunday schedule on Christmas Day; reduced service on Christmas Eve.
- Sound Transit: Sunday schedule on Christmas and no Sounder trains; weekday service on Christmas Eve, reduced Sounder train service.
- Community Transit: Sunday schedule Christmas Day.
- WSDOT Tolls: Most tolling, including the SR 520 bridge, are assessed at the weekend rate.
