What's Up: "Rent," Neighborhood Garage Sale, City Notes
The city's website will be down for maintenance until noon, but there's plenty to keep you busy around town and nearby.

It's going to be another beautiful day in Kirkland. Here's what you need to know to enjoy it.
- The City’s Information Technology Department is performing network maintenance on Saturday, July 27, 2013 which will take down the City’s official website, www.kirklandwa.gov, its tourism website,www.explorekirkland.com, and its recreation registration site, www.kirklandparks.net. The websites are expected to be unavailable from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. The maintenance will not affect the City’s phone system, 9-1-1 dispatch or the boat launch access system.
- Attention bargain-hunters: The Highlands Neighborhood is holding its annual garage sale today, from 9 am to 2 pm. Enter at NE 85th St and 114th Ave NE and follow the signs.
- CORE Theatrics opens its production of Rent at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland. The show runs Fridays and Saturdays this weekend and next, and is R-rated, so the group recommends attendees be 16 years old and older. More information on tickets and show times can be found here.
- If you're looking for festival fun, check out Ananda Mela, running today and tomorrow in Redmond, or take a quick trip to downtown Bellevue Arts Weekend both running through the weekend.
