Woodmark Hotel Gets New Management
The luxury hotel's incoming general manager has more than 20 years of executive hospitality experience.
The is under new management, being run by the same company that operates Suncadia in Cle Elum and other resorts and hotels around the country.
Destination Hotels & Resorts, based in Englewood, Colo., announced the change Thursday.
Joining the lakeside hotel as general manager is John T. Murphy, who previously managed operations for Columbia Hospitality properties, including Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie, University of Puget Sound, Bell Harbor International Conference Center, Seattle World Trade Center and Cedarbrook Lodge and Conference Center.

Murphy “consistently delivered year-over-year increases in revenue and net operating income and managed programs that drew national recognition and awards to each property,” according to a Destination Hotels & Resorts statement about the change.
Murphy is tasked with executing new business strategies and finding “new opportunities to continue to enhance guest relations through local business partnerships, rewards and incentive programs, employee training and hospitality excellence,” the company said in its announcement.

Destination’s 35-plus properties include Skamania Lodge near Portland and Sunriver Resort in Bend, OR.
