Bender Park Jet Ski Rentals Remain: Report

OAK CREEK, WI— A jet ski rental company that came to Bender Park in 2019 will continue to operate at the beach for at least five more years, Urban Milwaukee reported.

The company signed an agreement with Milwaukee County at the Milwaukee Parks, Energy and Environment Committee meeting to continue operations at the park, according to the Urban Milwaukee report.

In exchange for 10 percent of gross receipts and $23,000 over the five year agreement, Milwaukee County is allowing Wake Zone to operate at Bender Park in Oak Creek, the report said.

In addition to the payments, Wake Zone will create a dock and other improvements at the park, and will stop using single use plastic by next year, the report said.

Wake Zone, LLC, the jet ski rental company, also sells concessions at its beach cafe such as nachos, corn dogs, pizza and sandwiches, according to its website.

Bender Park is operated by Milwaukee County Parks and is located at 4503 E Ryan Road in Oak Creek.
