Black Lives Matter Chalk Art Event Coming To Drexel Town Square

OAK CREEK, WI — Drexel Town Square in Oak Creek is about to get a splash of colorful and positive chalk artwork Thursday.

Fill The Circle For BLM is an event hosted by Stand Out and is independent of any other marches or protests, organizers said.

The chalk event goes from noon to about 5 p.m. Thursday in Drexel Town Square, 500 W. Drexel Ave. in Oak Creek.

Organizers say the event was set up in honor of George Floyd, for the Black Lives Matter movement, as a way for community members in Oak Creek to show support.

"We are going to try to fill the circle with positive chalk art," organizers wrote. "This is a solemn event to express your views through positive chalk art."
