City Of Oak Creek Hosting Free Shred Day For Residents April 29 To Prevent Identity Theft

Residents are encouraged to shred their sensitive and private documents in an effort to reduce identity theft.

OAK CREEK - Oak Creek citizens are welcome to bring their private and sensitive documents to the city's Shred Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 29, at the Street Department's west parking lot at 800 W. Puetz Road.

Oak Creek is hosting the free event to help protect residents from identity theft, with secure on-site document destruction by Shred-It.

Confidential items include financial paperwork, bank statements, account statements, personal information, pre-approved credit card offers, medical paperwork, real estate documents, payroll stubs, and confidential mail.
