Cudahy Man Detained In Canada With Fake Bomb In Luggage
58-year-old Joseph Galaska is currently in Canada on charges of mischief but will be released when a family members arrives to post bail.

TORONTO - A 58-year-old Cudahy man is being held in Canada after authorities found a fake bomb in his suitcase Thursday at the Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Law enforcement officials said Joseph Galaska was transporting a fake improvised explosive device in his luggage, found during an inspection while Galaska was en route to Chicago. Galaska was charged with criminal mischief.
Passenger Kevin Orvitz says the Chicago-bound flight was held up for four hours without explanation from the crew for the delay.

Galaska's son told Today's TMJ4 that the incident was just a "misunderstanding" but wouldn't elaborate further.
Neighbors said their impression of Galaska was that he was a quiet but friendly man and were surprised by the news.

Galaska is being held on custody but will be released when a family member arrives in Toronto to post his $5,000 bail. His next scheduled court appearance is April 24.
