Dog Escaped Brentwood Animal Hospital, Fatally Hit By Car: Cops
One Oak Creek family lost their beloved family pet after their dog escaped the Brentwood Animal Hospital and ran out into Ryan Road traffic.

OAK CREEK, WI — Tragedy was visited upon one local family after Zeus, their family dog, escaped the Brentwood Animal Hospital earlier this month, ran out into Ryan Road traffic and was fatally struck by a car.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, officers were sent to a stretch of Ryan Road near the Brentwood Animal Hospital just after 5 p.m. on Aug. 7 on a report of a dog that had been struck by a car.
Police said they spoke with the driver of the striking vehicle, who said they were heading east on E. Ryan Road when a dog ran out into traffic. The driver said they couldn't stop in time, and struck the dog.

According to police, officers talked with staff at the Brentwood Animal Hospital and learned that the dog, named Zeus, had recently escaped the animal hospital grounds through a gap in the fence and out into traffic.
Police said Zeus was taken back to the animal hospital and was pronounced dead by a veterinarian there. Zeus' owners were informed of the loss of their family pet, police said.
