Do you still see a lot of homeowners who regularly fly the American flag in your neighborhood? Or is that a tradition that has long since fallen by the wayside?

- Jill Brooks Jill Brooks:Â Not as many as when I was growing up. I just put mine out, we fly it regularly and make sure to take it down in bad weather and store it properly. Why do people forget??? Because people take freedom for granted, children are being taught that the success and freedom of this country is something we should apologize for, not celebrate. Kids say the words of the Pledge of Allegiance, but they don't really know what is behind it.
- Sheryl Kropf Cerniglia: We never forget flag day at our house....not only because of the flag but also my hubby graduated high school on that day...so every year he flys the flag and remembers his high school years!!!
