Georgie Porgie's Expanding Its Oak Creek Location And Will Now Serve Craft Beer
The popular frozen custard and burger joint will open will double its capacity with the expansion.

OAK CREEK - Georgie Porgie's Restaurant, a longtime Oak Creek favorite for its creative burgers and unique custard flavors, is opening George's Garage next month adjacent to its current location at 9555 S. Howell Ave.
George's Garage will provide a more adult experience than its current treefort theme, and will serve craft beer, a popular customer request according to co-owner Peter Liapis.
OnMilwaukee says the new addition is a tribute to the late George Liapis, who founded the restaurant with his wife Dina in 1991. Over the years, Georgie Porgie's grew to a larger location and added the nostalgic treefort theme with a new restaurant opened in Mount Pleasant. Liapis' sons Peter and Lou now own the restaurant. The garage theme was inspired by their weekly classic car shows, always a big draw for the restaurant.
