Gift Card Incentive Announced For Getting Vaccine In Oak Creek
South shore health departments are offering a gift card and other rewards for getting vaccinated at clinics. Walk-ins accepted.

OAK CREEK, WI— The Oak Creek Health Department is now offering incentives such as a $25 gas card, insulated mugs, beach blankets and more for getting vaccinated against COVID-19 at one of its clinics, according to a Facebook post from the department.
The new rewards that Oak Creek Health Department announced are available at any of the regular walk-in clinics across the south shore as long as supplies last, the post said.
Health departments from Cudahy, South Milwaukee and St. Francis will also offer the incentives. Health departments in the south shore worked together to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine and establish the South Shore Vaccine Clinic.

The departments' shared South Shore Vaccine Clinic will be closing on Thursday, though, so that each department can focus on individual clinics and more focused vaccination drives. The clinic distributed 15,000 vaccine shots in its time.
Anyone 12 and up can still get a walk-in vaccination at the SSVC until Thursday. After its close, second doses will be distributed at one of the south shore health departments depending on what the vaccine was.
