Group Starts Recall Effort Of Gov. Tony Evers In Oak Creek
A local group in Oak Creek has started a petition to recall Gov. Tony Evers. They need more than 668,000 signatures in 60 days.

OAK CREEK, WI — Citing frustrations over Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers' handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and civil unrest in Kenosha, a local group wants to recall the governor, and has started a petition drive in Oak Creek.
Steffanie Everson said she was staffing a red tent at the Oak Creek Parkway Park located on Howell Ave. just north of Ryan Road on Saturday. According to a FOX 6 report, Everson said she saw people come out to the tent to sign the petition, calling the support "phenomenal." The group also collected signatures in Oak Creek on Sunday.
The group needs to file 668,327 signatures in 60 days in order to force a recall election of Evers.

According to a WPR report, Misty Polewczynski of Burlington also started a petition, citing the governor's COVID-19 response and response to civil unrest in Kenosha as grounds for a recall.
