Local officials have reiterated the National Weather Service warning. The Oak Creek Health Department said on Facebook that today would be a great day to stay away from the lake by using the Drexel Town Square splash pad.

The Oak Creek Fire Department also posted on Facebook to "stay out of the water today."

The warnings come amidst a warm start to the week with highs in the 80s and 90s, but the temperature is forecasted to drop into the 70 degree range in the second half of this week.
