IKEA To Install Dining Patio At Oak Creek Location This Summer

Swedish meatballs and some sun with that new dresser? IKEA is planning on installing a dining patio at its Oak Creek location.

OAK CREEK, WI—The Oak Creek Plan Commission approved a temporary outdoor dining patio at IKEA during the commission's meeting Tuesday.

Documents filed by IKEA show a new outdoor dining patio will complement its indoor dining service. The patio could open by the end of June with 13 tables to support 52 patrons, the documents said.

Once constructed, the patio would be open daily from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. daily. The permit will expire on September 30, but IKEA could apply for a new permit if desired, plan documents said.

The patio will be ADA accessible and enclosed with 3-foot-tall fencing on each side, plan documents said. The patio would be installed immediately off the existing dining room at IKEA, the documents showed.
