It's Back: Community Center Concert Series Returns Wednesday

Get those coolers and lawn chairs ready: the 2013 edition of the Oak Creek Community Center concert series returns Wednesday, June 26.

The Eddie Butts Band will kick off the series with a performance from 7 to 9 p.m. at the center, 8580 S. Howell Ave. The band has been a Milwaukee favorite for years with a blend of jazz, pop and R&B.

This year marks the 10th year the community center has hosted bands on the lawn east of the building. Other concerts are scheduled for July 10, July 24, Aug. 21 and Aug. 28. 

Attendees can bring their own food and beverages or purchase them at the center. New this year are free orange cream custard floats for the first 250 people at each show.
