Milwaukee Yard Sports Facility Slated For Fall Opening

OAK CREEK, WI — Milwaukee Yard, an over 100,000 square foot sports complex, is coming to Oak Creek this fall for indoor sports matches, child care, birthday parties and more, according to a Facebook post by Milwaukee Yard.

The complex will have indoor infill turf fields, hardwood courts, a daycare center and pre-school. The project was initially planned last year and has been under construction since. The building is slated to complete construction at the end of 2021, according to the Milwaukee Yard website.

When open, the facility will offer a host of activities. Soccer leagues for kids, as well as an adult league, are planned. Kids will get a playroom stocked with inflatables, toys and a vast multi-story play tower. The facility will also offer rental opportunities for its fields, according to the Milwaukee Yard website.

Milwaukee Yard will also offer child care. Child care at the facility will give kids access to climbing structures, inflatables, fields and an outdoor playground. Free-play will be mixed in with more traditional learning methods to provide a holistic childcare setting. Childc are will also offer after-school sports, the website said.

The facility will be open by this winter, the website said. The facility will be located at 7727 S. Longwater Drive in Oak Creek. The site was formerly known as 13th Street, and the development will remain in that area.
