OAK CREEK, WI — Debra Ross walked out to her car on Friday morning in order to give her granddaughter a ride, when she saw that her car had been vandalized.

Overnight, a person used a can of black spray paint to scribble "BLM" on the front driver's side quarter panel of her silver 2015 Chevrolet Equinox which had been parked in her driveway overnight on Burdick Ave.

"I called the Oak Creek police department, and they sent out an officer," she told Patch. "My daughter went down the street and saw that a second car had been tagged."

Ross said she took the car to Holz Chevrolet, where workers managed to remove the spray paint from the car and buff out the finish.

Ross told Patch that had she not had insurance, it would have cost her several hundred dollars to have the paint removed.
